I’ve heard that some schools in the mid-west have already started their new school year. Sounds crazy, right? Classes don’t begin here until September, but that hasn’t stopped us from gearing up for the first day, by shopping all the back to school sales.
One of my favorite places to get new threads for my kids is Gymboree. The options are stylish and my favorite part, affordable. My son is starting kindergarten this year and his school requires uniforms. So for us, shopping for t-shirts and all the fun clothes isn’t part of our back to school routine.
But we do have to get him khaki colored shorts and pants. Those are the only items we have free will as far as where to purchase them. All of this tops, sweaters, and even jackets have to bought through the school, with the school’s name on them.

Of course, I immediately turned to Gymboree for the khaki shorts and pants. And not just those, but basics like socks too.
Right now everything in the Back to School Collection is 25% off through July 31st! On top of that, if you have any Gym Bucks to spend, you can redeem them by July 30th on top of the discount.

Easter is just about a month away, so it’s time to start thinking activities and outfits. When I was a child, my mom made all of my Easter dresses. I’m talking my mom went all out, from tulle underneath the dress, to the apron that was worn over the top of the dress.
I kind of wish I had the time and skill to do the same for my own daughter. Well, in all honesty, I could make the time to do it and while I’m certainly no professional seamstress, I do have a little skill.
But since I’m being honest here, on the other hand, there are so many cute and affordable options in stores these day, too. The time it would take to make one and the cost of the materials just isn’t much worth it.
Stores like Gymboree or Janie and Jack have some of the most adorable clothing options for kids, including Easter outfits. In fact, Gymboree has 50% off sitewide today (3/17) through Sunday (3/19). It’s the perfect time to get my kids their Easter outfits!
I’ve been browsing the website and pieced together two options for both my son and daughter. Take a look and tell me which one’s you think I should get!
