Identity Games for Even the Youngest Game Lovers

My kids enjoy sitting down to play games and can get pretty competitive (nobody likes to lose), but sometimes it can be a little difficult to find games that are well-suited for their ages and abilities. That’s what I love about Identity Games! They offer fun, and sometimes pretty quirky, games to suit all ages.

My kids are currently ages 5 and 2, so when it comes to games there’s only so much they can really understand. Obviously, strategy type games or those that have a ton of rules, just don’t work for them right now. But the games Find It and Elmo’s World Hide and Seek from Identity Games are perfect for their ages.

Find It is like a portable treasure hunt (yay for games that can be taken on the go!), where you have to find 40 items hidden inside a tube of colorful pellets. There’s no opening the tube during game play, so to find the objects you have to spin, twist, and shake the container, moving the pellets around and uncovering the hidden objects.

You may see an object one minute, but be looking for something else. And then you have to find the object you JUST saw, but from all the spinning, twisting, and shaking you just did to find the other one, the object has disappeared once again into the pellets.

Find It is a great game for my 5 year old, especially when I need a break from him running amuck throughout the house. I can give him the game and he’ll sit in one spot searching for the hidden objects.  And I already mentioned it’s great for on the go. Think road trips, waiting rooms, restaurants, etc.

Making the game even more fun are the different versions available.

  • Where’s Waldo?
  • Mythical Creatures
  • Discover America
  • Eww Gross!
  • Pirates
  • Sesame Street
  • Original
  • Kids
  • Glitz and Glamour
  • Wildlife (this is the one my son has)
  • At the Beach
  • Starry Night
  • Dinosaurs
  • Christmas Santa
  • Captain Underpants
  • Elf on the Shelf

And more!

Identity Games for Even the Youngest Game Lovers | #IdentityGames #giftidea #HolidayGiftGuideAs for my 2 year old, she has fallen in love with Elmo’s World Hide and Seek. Hide and seek was always a favorite game of mine as a kid, but if you can play it with Elmo, just imagine how much more fun it would be!

Identity Games for Even the Youngest Game Lovers | #IdentityGames #giftidea #HolidayGiftGuideOne of the older players (or a parent) hides the little Elmo character, and using clue cards the other players have 10 minutes to find Elmo. In addition to the hints on the clue cards, Elmo chirps out his own hints while hiding, making this game great for smaller kids like my daughter. She may not understand all of the clues, but she can listen for where Elmo is.
