We’ve all been there…dinner time rolls around and there’s nothing to eat in the house, except cereal (not that there’s anything wrong with that); it’s time to pack school lunches, but you’re out of PB&J; you’re craving something sweet, but the ice cream has freezer burn. And you know what? There’s no time in your day to go to the grocery store. Never fear! Instacart is here!

Never heard of Instacart? Let me school you real quick. Instacart is a mother’s saving grace when there just aren’t enough hours in the day to get to the grocery store, or you just don’t have the energy to deal with it. Place your order online, at your favorite store, and real life Instacart shoppers go in-store to do your shopping for you. Then they deliver it to you! While shopping, if the Instacart shopper has any type of problem with the order, they can communicate directly with you so you’re up-to-date on your order and shopping/delivery status.

Sounds amazing, right?

It is!

In fact, I remember my very first experience with Instacart. It was last winter. My daughter was still in diapers, soon to run out, and although I had planned on going to the store to buy more, a few days went by and it just didn’t happen. It got to the point that I had just enough diapers to get through the night and one for a morning change. My boyfriend was working, so he couldn’t go to the store, and we’d just had a fresh snow the day before. I was pregnant and tired, and in no mood to go to the store or be out in the snow.

I hopped online that night, placed my Instacart order to be delivered the following morning, and bright and early, my knight in shining “Instacart green” braved the cold weather, shopped my order, and delivered what I needed.

And I figured since I was placing an order, I might as well shop the sales ad for anything else I might have needed. So Instacart delivered more than just diapers and we had a great home cooked breakfast that morning, haha.
