How to Clean Rust in Eco-Friendly Ways

A few of my friend’s bobby pins had fallen out of her hair and were on the bottom of my bathtub. We were in a hurry to get to her Grandma and Grandpa’s anniversary party. This was a weekend event. I never even thought about picking the bobby pins up. Worry about it when I get back is what I thought. Okay, neither of us considered they are metal in a damp tub. So, what do we end up with?

Rust.

How to Clean Rust in Eco-Friendly Ways | #ecofriendly #cleaning #rust

And it really happened just that fast. Three days later there it was. And there are chemicals that can remove rust, but we have been cleaning in a green way in both our homes for so long, it just feels weird to buy some non-friendly chemical.

So, I decided to turn to the only place that might have the answer. You guessed it. The internet! Someone out there must have the solution. Turns out a lot of people have solutions. They’ve done the experiments, and now I’m researching their work.

This does work. I compiled the best solutions for getting rid of rust and they’re all eco-friendly.

I’ll start with a Stainless Steel Sink. You will need:

  • Distilled White Vinegar
  • Baking Soda
  • Aluminum Foil

Spray the area with the vinegar, then sprinkle on the baking soda. It will create a foam. Crumble the foil into a ball and use it to scrub the rust away.

For my Bathtub this is what worked me:

  • A Lime
  • Salt

Believe it or not it was just this simple. Sprinkle the salt over the rust stain. Then cut the lime in half. Squeeze lime juice over the salt until it is soaking. Then use the lime to scrub the stain out.

After seeing small amounts of rust in other places in my home I did try other solutions. Another one I found that worked was:

  • Baking Soda
  • Water
  • A Toothbrush

Once again, the most simple stuff. Place about half a cup of baking soda into a bowl. Stir in just enough water until it forms a paste. Use the toothbrush to scrub the paste onto the rust. It takes a little elbow grease, but this is great for small rust problems.

These have all worked for me and I hope they work for you too! If you’re looking for a great cleaning service to take care of your home’s other needs and you happen to be in the Denver area, I suggest getting a deep cleaning in Denver. Happy cleaning!

How to Use Different “Sodas” for Eco-Friendly Cleaning

I never realized how many types of soda cleaning products there were when it comes to eco-friendly cleaning. I assumed baking soda, and it is the most popular one in my opinion, but there are a couple of others. These user-friendly products are safe for children, pets, and allergen affected people.

How to Use Different "Sodas" for Eco-Friendly Cleaning | #cleaning #ecofriendly

Baking Soda:

The minerals in this slightly alkalined powder helps to dissolve proteins and neutralize acids to increase the cleaning power of detergents by balancing the pH level of the water. Pour some baking soda down a drain and add an equal amount of distilled white vinegar to create a foaming reaction within the drain and pipes, which cleans and deodorizes the drain.

You can mix this miracle cleanser with water to form a paste to clean silver, surface rust, laundry, and coffee stained cups. You can even brush your teeth, and vacuum cleaner from Only Canister Vacuum to completely remove the dust.

Washing Soda:

Also known as sodium carbonate decahydrate, or soda ash, this natural mineral is effective for breaking down grease, removing stains, softening water, descaling coffee pots, espresso machines, and boilers. This can be found in the laundry aisle of most stores.

Club Soda:

Use this versatile liquid cleaner primarily for laundry. It is effective in removing stains from organic materials such as blood, coffee, wine, chocolate, and other food components.

The best part about these are you can experiment with them. Sometimes, I just try mixing a couple things together like I’m a scientist (which I am completely not) and have fun seeing what I come up with. The great part of the experimentation is it doesn’t hurt my wallet. All of these products are relatively inexpensive. So, experiment away!

If you aren’t into experimenting, leave the cleaning to the professionals like Eco Clean Madison.! They will leave your home in marvelous condition by the time they are done.

A clean home is a happy home!

The Gift of a Good Night’s Sleep

At some point or another I’m sure you or someone you know has had a difficult time sleeping. Whether it’s the temperature in the room or waking up to fluff the pillow, we can wake up multiple times each night, and there’s no way we’re get the sound rest we need when that’s what we’re doing all night. If you or someone you know has this problem, you should ask for the gift of a good night’s sleep.

What exactly is the gift of a good night’s sleep? With a Mediflow Waterbase Pillow, getting a good night’s sleep is as easy as it comes. It’s name probably gives it away, but the pillow uses water to provide the comfort and support we need when sleeping. In fact, the Mediflow Waterbase Pillow is the only pillow clinically proven to improve the quality of sleep.

One of my favorite features of Mediflow Waterbase Pillows is that they’re completely customizable, from choosing the filling you want (fiber, foam, feather), to choosing the amount of firmness that’s most comfortable for you.

The Gift of a Good Night's Sleep | #Mediflow #sleep #pillow

I chose the Floating Comfort Pillow, which has a nice fiber filling, along with the waterbase. The pillow comes in a ready-to-use package. All I had to do was add tap water to match the desired firmness I wanted. The more water added, the firmer the pillow will be. And what’s great is if my needs ever change, all it takes is adjusting the water level in the pillow.

The Gift of a Good Night's Sleep | #Mediflow #sleep #pillow

You’re probably wondering exactly how the Mediflow Waterbase Pillow helps with getting a good night’s sleep. The waterbase provides just the right amount of neck support and the soft filling provides comfort for the head, whereas traditional pillows only provide one or the other (booo!).

The Gift of a Good Night's Sleep | #Mediflow #sleep #pillow

After a few nights using my new Mediflow Waterbase Pillow, I could definitely tell a difference. The water adds some weight to the pillow, so there was never an issue of the pillow moving around. And as I moved around at night, there was no need to fluff the pillow. No matter which way I moved, the pillow adjusted with my head and neck position. While I can’t say I don’t wake up at all during the night, I can say that I have been waking up much less than I usually do.

The Floating Comfort Pillow can be purchased directly from Mediflow and retails for $54.99. Other waterbase versions (depending on filling) start at $49.99. That’s the same amount many people spend each month on caffeinated drinks. So why waste your money month after month on caffeine, when you can get a good night’s sleep and skip the caffeine?

House Cleaning Habits for the Whole Family

Keeping the house clean and tidy every day can be more daunting when you have a family. Tempers are likely to flare if you don’t figure out a way to get the whole family involved in the process of cleaning.

So how do you keep the peace by getting everyone to chip and cleaning duties done as needed? To engage the family in house cleaning means mobilizing and assigning everyone cleaning duties, and ensuring that they realize that it’s a habit they have to develop and sustain until it becomes something they do without having to be reminded or cajoled.

It could mean something as simple as picking up after themselves, or more difficult like cleaning their rooms, dishes, kitchen, etc. Either way, getting the whole family involved in the cleaning process will go a long way in keeping your house tidy and clean.

House Cleaning Habits for the Whole Family | #cleaning #chores

Here are a few tips from The Home Makers Journal to ensure you develop a house cleaning habit for the whole family:

Ensure There is a Place for Everything

When you assign items around the house their place, everyone will know where to put them. Have you ever found the keys wedged between cushions of the couch, or hidden among the magazines on the rack? That happens when you don’t insist on the right place for items. For example, keeping a hook by the front door to hang the keys will make it easier to find them without ripping the whole house apart!

Teach Kids How to Pick Up After Themselves and Tidy Up

Kids especially leave dirty clothing everywhere. Ensure that there is a dirty clothes hamper in each room, and insist that you will not pick up after them and neither will you allow messy rooms. Give them an incentive to keep their rooms tidy. For example if their beds are well made, their dirty clothes in the hamper and no trash lying around, with everything in its place, then you can add, say an extra twenty minutes past their bedtime for them to continue enjoying gaming, TV or any other activity they are working on.

Create a Schedule and Distribute Cleaning Chores

Simply Maid’s Cleaning Expert, Caroline Nucifora, says “If you hear ‘I don’t have time’ one more time you are going to lash out!” Avoid this, even with yourself, by creating a schedule that the whole family has to stick to. Make sure you work around your kids and whole family’s activities, and assign a daily chore and weekend chores as well.

Distribute tasks easily, assigning the tougher chores to your partner and older kids, and simpler ones to the younger children. Ensure you enforce this habitual cleaning by having a consequence if someone fails to clean properly and on time. For example, take away computer or TV time.

Save Time with These Cleaning Habits

  • Ensure that no dirty dishes are left overnight and assign someone to do this.
  • Have everyone pick up after themselves in terms of clothes and shoes, and after meals.
  • Get everyone to help in tidying up the living room at the end of each day and clean up the kitchen.

What tips would you add?

5 Ways to Decorate Your Walls Without Paint + Giveaway

If there’s one thing I hate about renting, it’s the boring and plain white/eggshell colored walls. No matter where I rent it seems to be the standard, and after 13 years of the same old walls, I’ve learned a thing or two about decorating them without using paint. Because quite frankly, when it comes time to move out, repainting the walls back to their white/eggshell color is the last thing I want to deal with. If you’re in the same situation, check out these 5 ways to decorate your walls without paint.

5 Ways to Decorate Your Walls Without Paint | #CanvasFactory #canvasprint #walldecor #decorating #giveaway

~I received a sample to help facilitate this post. As always, opinions are still 100% my own.~

1. Framed Art, Posters & Magazines

A fun, easy and affordable way to add some color to your walls is by framing art, posters and magazines. I love to display my children’s artwork in their bedroom and also in the toy room. Simply framing the artwork adds a more sleek and professional look, if that’s something you’re going for.

The same applies to posters and magazines. I especially love framing pages from magazines. Obviously I’m not talking about ads, but you’d be surprised at what you can find that’s frame-worthy in magazines. It’s about thinking outside the box. Do you love to cook or bake? Take one of your favorite recipes from a magazine or book (which also usually include awesome food photography), frame it and place it on your kitchen wall.

2. Fabric

There are a few different cool ways to use fabric to add color and accent to plain walls. One way is by wallpapering fabric. It’s much easier and quicker than painting, and has the potential to add more pizazz than a paint job. Not to mention, this can be done on doors too. Just think of all the different options when it comes to fabric prints.

5 Ways to Decorate Your Walls Without Paint | #CanvasFactory #canvasprint #walldecor #decorating #giveaway

Or if you’re not wanting to go the fabric wallpaper route (because you’ll have to use an adhesive of some sort all over the wall), try just draping fabric on the wall. There’s no rule that says fabric and curtains have to be placed over windows. I like the idea of draping fabric behind the bed, adding the illusion there may be a window there, but also adding life to the focal point of the room.

Another idea is what I call fabric accent boards. Simply take a piece of fabric, wrap it around a piece of foam board, glue the fabric edges to the back, and voila! You have a lightweight, decorative accent piece to liven up your space. You could also use a piece of wood, but I like foam board because it’s light enough to attach to the wall using double sided adhesive strips.

3. Personal Photos

Okay, so adding personal photos to the wall may seem like a no-brainer, but there are so many directions this can be taken. Frames, foam board prints, collages, canvas prints, and the list goes on and on. I have to say I’ve personally become quite partial to canvas prints and my collection is growing constantly.

5 Ways to Decorate Your Walls Without Paint | #CanvasFactory #canvasprint #walldecor #decorating #giveaway

In my bedroom, I stay away from photos of my kids because it’s mine and my boyfriend’s sanctuary, and our personal space. But the rest of the home is free game, and boy are my kids taking over. My most recent photo addition is a new 20″ x 16″ canvas print from Canvas Factory, on the wall in the toy room.

5 Ways to Decorate Your Walls Without Paint | #CanvasFactory #canvasprint #walldecor #decorating #giveaway

The toy room houses the majority of my kids toys so it’s only fitting that their artwork and photos adorn the walls.

This isn’t the first time I’ve ordered a canvas print from Canvas Factory and it certainly won’t be the last, but I was a little more impressed with this canvas than the last one I ordered. It has nothing to do with the quality of the print, that’s always on point, but had to do with the backing.

5 Ways to Decorate Your Walls Without Paint | #CanvasFactory #canvasprint #walldecor #decorating #giveaway

5 Ways to Decorate Your Walls Without Paint | #CanvasFactory #canvasprint #walldecor #decorating #giveawayCanvas Factory has added a flat, black backing to its canvas prints, meaning I can attach it to the wall without adding a hole. I can just use my trusty ol’ double sided adhesive strips. If you prefer to hammer in a nail and hang the canvas, that’s still an option because the hooks are still on the back, but as a renter I try to prevent holes in the wall, knowing I’ll have to fill them in later.

If a canvas print is something you’d like to explore more, keep scrolling for a Canvas Factory giveaway!

4. Removable Wall Decals

Really popular now are removable wall decals. Available you can find all kinds of themed graphics, from kids and baby rooms, to nature, laundry and bathroom themes. Yea, let’s not forget how boring laundry spaces and bathroom walls can be.

5. Shelving

Not only does shelving add storage and display space, it also adds depth to any room. Whether you choose simple floating shelves or something more intricate that scales the wall, shelving is a great choice for adding some life to a wall.

5 Ways to Decorate Your Walls Without Paint | #CanvasFactory #canvasprint #walldecor #decorating #giveaway

I would even suggest making shelving colorful. You don’t always have to go with a wood design, but can add some flare to the wall by going with some color. The whole point is to help the plain and unattractive walls, and a splash of color will certainly do that.

Easy Cold Brew Coffee with Melitta

Easy Cold Brew Coffee with Melitta | #Melitta #coldbrew #coffee #pourover
~Thank you to Melitta for providing product for review. As always, opinions are still 100% my own.~

If you’re like me, you can’t wait for fall weather to arrive. And not just because that means pumpkin spice everything, but because we will be able to warm up with hot coffee. Until then, we have to deal with the hot summer weather and if we want our coffee fix, an ice cold coffee will do the trick.

I’ve tried cold brew coffees for Keurig and when it comes down to it, it’s just piping hot coffee brewed over ice cubes, that melts said ice cubes, makes my coffee watery, and I end up with a luke warm cup of joe. It just doesn’t work for me.

I’ve also tried brewing extra coffee in a regular coffee pot and putting it in the fridge to cool for the next day. But by the next day the coffee has completely lost its oomph. Yea, that doesn’t work for me either.

Easy Cold Brew Coffee with Melitta | #Melitta #coldbrew #coffee #pourover

So how do I get the perfect cup of cold brew coffee? One word – Melitta. Did you know that Melitta has a Pour-Over Cone that fits a single coffee mug, so you can get real fresh brewed coffee day in and day out? And guess what, it doesn’t just work for fresh hot coffee (although I can’t wait to try that when the weather cools down), but it works wonders for cold brewed coffee too.

Artisan Cold Brew with Melitta

  1. In a pitcher, add 2/3 cup of ground Melitta Coffee to 16 oz. of cold water. Mix well.
  2. Cover pitcher and chill for 4+ hours. Remove from refrigerator and stir vigorously.
  3. Place a Melitta Cone Filter in a Melitta Pour-Over Cone. Set cone atop a carafe or jar. Pour the stirred coffee/water mix into the filter. Wait for all liquid coffee to filter through and drip in carafe below. Repeat pour-over process until all mix is filtered. You now have Melitta Cold Brew Concentrate.
  4. Keep Cold Brew Concentrate covered and chilled for up to a week. Enjoy!

This is THE best way to enjoy a cup of cold brew coffee at home. I have had a cup almost every day since getting my new Melitta Pour-Over Coffee Brew Cone & Travel Mug, and used this process as inspiration. I did make a simple tweak though, and now I get the perfect iced coffee to-go anytime I want.

Easy Cold Brew Coffee with Melitta | #Melitta #coldbrew #coffee #pourover

Easy Cold Brew Coffee with Melitta | #Melitta #coldbrew #coffee #pourover

The simple change I made was rather than brewing 16 oz. at a time, which would logically yield 2 cups of coffee, I put 12 oz. of cold water into 2-3 mason jars at a time. The 12 oz. jars are perfect for filling up my travel mug.

Then I added 1/3 cup of Melitta ground coffee to each jar and let the jars sit in the fridge until I’m ready for a cup. Whether the water/coffee mixture sits overnight or maybe for a day or two, each cup is fresh and full of rich flavor.

Easy Cold Brew Coffee with Melitta | #Melitta #coldbrew #coffee #pourover

When I’m ready for a cup, I place a cone filter in the Pour-Over Cone, and filter my cold brewed coffee right into my mug. I add a little sugar before filtering the coffee and add my favorite creamer afterwards. Place a few ice cubes in and I’m ready to take on the day!

I have my coffee in hand, kids in tow, and the summer heat is not putting a damper on my day. This Melitta pour-over brewing process is absolutely the best and strongest cold brew coffee I’ve ever made at home!

~Thank you to Crate Space for providing a free box for review. As always, opinions are still 100% my own.~

Allow me to introduce you to my newest way of saving time and money – Crate Space. Simply put, Crate Space is a way to get personal and household essentials delivered to my door within a matter of a day or two, and save on those essentials without clipping coupons and tracking down sales. Do you know how much time it takes me to coupon and match up sales?!

How does Crate Space work?

It is super easy, otherwise I probably wouldn’t bother. You know me, trying to make time wherever I can!

Crate Space is an easy way to save on personal and household essentials, without clipping coupons and tracking down sales! #CrateSpace #savingmoney #household #essentials #smartshopper #deliveryservice #homedelivery

Simply head over to Crate Space and add any 5 items on the website to your cart. No matter what their retail price is (which isn’t shown when shopping, by the way), you only pay $29.99 and shipping in the U.S. is absolutely free! Like I said earlier, no clipping coupons, no tracking down sales, and there’s no worry about tax or shipping prices. Just $29.99 and all 5 items are yours!

When you check out, just so you know you’re getting a good deal, Crate Space calculates how much you’re saving based on the manufacturer’s suggested retail price of each product you’re ordering. At this point, you see each items retail price.

What products does Crate Space offer?

Crate Space has a wide variety of essentials, from household and cleaning products, to bath and body, skin care, everyday health, and even essentials for kids. Baby wipes, anyone?

Crate Space is an easy way to save on personal and household essentials, without clipping coupons and tracking down sales! #CrateSpace #savingmoney #household #essentials #smartshopper #deliveryservice #homedelivery

Why is Crate Space better than its competitors?

Amazon: First and foremost there are no membership fees or third-party sellers like with Amazon. Don’t get me wrong, I love my Amazon Prime! But with Crate Space, shipping to the U.S. is always free and I don’t have to pay $99/yr for it to be free.

Jet: Jet has dynamic pricing, meaning prices change from time to time based on demand for a given product. With Crate Space, the pricing NEVER changes.

Boxed: You have to spend $49 with Boxed to get free shipping and the site only offers huge sizes, sometimes making storage an issue at home. Crate Space? I’ve said it already and I’ll say it again – $29.99 plus free shipping! No questions asked.

And last, but not least, Crate Space stocks only the products people really want and in the sizes that are most popular. Have you ever gone to Amazon for paper towels, just to find there’s 25 types/sizes of the same brand? Who has time to look through all of that? I’m trying to make more time in my life for the things that really matter, and that does not include shopping for paper towels. With Crate Space, I can pick the product and keep it moving.

How did I do with my Crate Space box?

Let’s take a closer look at the Crate Space box I just ordered. All 5 products I ordered are ones that I’m currently in need of, or I know I will be soon. I ordered shaving cream (summer’s not quite over yet, so my beary hairy legs have to wait a couple more months), face wash, deodorant (yea, summer again), dishwasher tabs, and batteries (with the upcoming holidays and kids toys, we’ll go through these in no time).

Crate Space is an easy way to save on personal and household essentials, without clipping coupons and tracking down sales! #CrateSpace #savingmoney #household #essentials #smartshopper #deliveryservice #homedelivery

The retail cost of these 5 products is $47.95 plus whatever I would pay in taxes. But with Crate Space I’d pay only $29.99, saving me 38%, and I received my box within 2 days! I’d call that a win. And I didn’t have to clip coupons or shop around for sales.

With it being back to school time, I’m sure there are plenty of things we all need to stock up on. To make it easy, on the Crate Space homepage, there are packages already built. You simply have to click “Add All” and you’re ready for checkout just like that! Sending a child to college? Just think, Crate Space is a perfect way to send them a care package.

Naturally & Easily Repel Ants Indoors

Naturally & Easily Repel Ants Indoors

~This post contains affiliate links, in which I will receive a small commission for your purchase.~

Friday morning I woke up to find an army (or two) of ants swarming my living room side table. They were all over my computer, all over the table top, climbing up and down the table leg, marching into my kids toy room, just coming and going as they please right from under the corner of the door frame.

My son had left out some uneaten pizza the night before. *insert a hard eye roll*

Naturally & Easily Repel Ants IndoorsNeedless to say, I freaked the heck out. I tried wiping them up with a dish rag, but that just made the problem worse. Now they were all over my kitchen sick. Agh! I put my shoes on and was ready to walk out the door to go get something for ants, but I stopped in my tracks.

I don’t know why I remember this, but when I was younger and my brother was a toddler, he got into some ant gel or some kind of product my mom had set on a window seal. He stuck his finger in it and proceeded to put it in his mouth. Ya know, like kids are supposed to do. Well, he ended up being taken to the hospital.

This memory is what stopped me from just jolting out the door to find the nearest ant killer I could. Ant products can be very toxic and I didn’t want my kids to unknowingly get into something that could harm them. I mean, these ants were right where we hang out every day so there’s no doubt one of my kids would touch something they shouldn’t be.

I decided to take a moment to do a little online research and I’m so glad I did. I found a completely natural way to rid my home of these pesky, pizza loving ants. The best part? I already had what I needed at home (Yay for saving money!) and IT WORKED!

Naturally & Easily Repel Ants Indoors

So what is this secret ant repellant that’s natural and easy? Peppermint and tea tree oil.

My online research brought me to understand that when an ant finds food, it lets off pheromones or a scent so that other ants can follow its path to the food. Well, there’s no doubt in my mind that this is exactly what happened with the uneaten pizza. I wish I had taken a picture so you could see just how many ants there were and they were sticking pretty tightly to a single path. Ugh! I’m itchy just thinking about it.

I read that peppermint and tea tree oil blocks the pheromones, causing the ants to lose their way. So, what do I have to lose? It’s natural, sounds pretty easy to try, I have the oils already. Why not give it a go? I decided to use both oils to see how well they would work. I used peppermint around the kitchen sink, and tea tree oil around the toy room and the side table.

Naturally & Easily Repel Ants Indoors

I simply placed a few drops off oil on a cotton pad and wiped the inside and outside rim of the sink. And for the toy room, I wiped the perimeter of the room, the door frame, and then the side table right outside the door. And just to be on the safe side, I left a clean cotton pad with a few drops on the back of the sink and in the corner of the room.

I immediately noticed a difference. There were no more ants coming and going from under the door frame, which is where they were originating from. There were a few stragglers that had wandered into the middle of the room, but aside from that we were officially ant free.

It’s now five days later and I still haven’t seen an ant even peep from under the door frame. Seeing is believing and I am a firm believer that peppermint and tea tree oil is the best natural way to repeal ants indoors. And if you’re kids touch the cotton pads, the oils aren’t going to harm them.

Natural? Check!

Easy? Check!

Safe? Check!

Effective? Check!

And another perk is your home will smell pretty nice, too. Peppermint and tea tree oil for the win!

Have you ever tried this method for repelling ants?

When it comes to home decor, I love to display family photos throughout my home. We have photos up in just about every room. From traditional picture frames and photos, to canvas prints, and now we’ve added a few Gator Board Prints.

I was recently looking for something to add some love to my kids room. I’ve been trying to make their room more lively lately, so when looking for prints to display I thought it would be perfect to get some Gator Board Prints of the two of them.

FoamCorePrint.com is the Affordable Way to Display Your Photos #gatorboard #foamboard #FoamCorePrint

I call it the Sibling Love Series and I’ve placed them in a small and awkward space of their room, the wall area just outside their closet. It was white and boring, but with the addition of their new Gator Board Prints, that space is now adorned with their sibling love.

Gator Board is a type of foam board that offers a more sturdy solution to traditional foam board printing. Just to give you an idea, traditional foam board can easily bend, dent, and is generally a lot more fragile. So you could say Gator Board is the tough, protective big brother to it’s baby sister, foam board.

Gator Board comes with an all black border and back, which I love because it gives a shadow type of effect, and it’s super lightweight. So if you ever find yourself moving to a new place, Gator Board Prints definitely won’t weigh down a moving box like traditional picture frames will.

You could say one of the downsides of Gator Board is that there’s nothing on the back to hang it with, but personally I actually prefer this. The back of the print is completely flat and this allows me to use the double sided sticky Command strips to stick them to the wall. You get that floating effect and there’s no damage done to either the Gator Board or the wall.

It’s perfect for us since we currently rent, but even if you own your home, the less damage you do, the better, right? I mean, what if you decide to change things up one day and move your prints to a different room, or a different place in the same room? I would hate to be left with a nail or hole in the wall.

Printing on foam board is THE most affordable way I’ve found to display my favorite photos and images, while keeping the quality of the photo. And my favorite place to order them from is FoamCorePrint.com.

Price depends on the size you want, but Gator Board Prints from FoamCorePrint.com start at just $0.15 per piece! If you’re looking to do a nice small collage, or even grow a display into something large and eye catching, it really doesn’t get more affordable.

As for my Sibling Love Series, I love the idea of over the years adding more brother/sister photos to the display. I’ll continue with the same size and maybe once a year go through all of my photos and choose three more to add to it. And when the kids are older, it will be fun to have this Sibling Love Series of Gator Board Prints to look back on.

I consider myself an organized person. Everything has it’s place, even if it’s in the junk drawer. But since moving I’ve been struggling with the kids jackets. Up until now they have either been laid across the tops of their dressers, tossed on their beds, or thrown in the floor and I can’t take it anymore.

Thankfully, Cave Tools has swept in to save this organizational chaos. Now, when I think about Cave Tools, I always envision summer cookouts and BBQs because many of their products are based around grilling. The same can be said for their Stainless Steel 5 Hook Rack, but this product in particular is more multipurpose than just holding grilling tools.

The Stainless Steel 5 Hook Rack can be used indoors or outdoors, and measures 14.25″ by 2″, so it’s perfect for all kinds of things. I’m personally using it in my kids room as a solution to their jackets laying everywhere. But in addition to this and housing grilling tools, it could also used be in the bathroom for hanging towels and bathrobes, in the garage for hanging your garden or workshop tools, in the kitchen for hanging pots and pans, and just about anywhere else to hang anything you can imagine.

When my hook rack arrived and I opened it, I was surprised at all that was included. It actually comes with everything you’ll need – the rack itself, a screwdriver (wow!), and obviously the small screws and pieces too. It was the little added touch of including a screwdriver that made it special to me. I already have a screwdriver that I could use, but it’s still nice to know Cave Tools thought about everything just in case.

We are currently renting, so we’re trying to avoid putting holes in the wall when possible. To prevent more holes in the wall, I decided to use velcro command strips to hang the rack and the back of the hook rack is completely flat, so it worked out perfectly.

I placed the hook rack at just the right height for my 5 y/o son and there hasn’t been a jacket laid on a dresser, tossed on the bed, or thrown in the floor since. And I love that it’s an easy way to add a more homey touch to their room.
