I used to sarcastically brag that my 5 year old son had quite the food palette, with a diet that consisted mostly of chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese, and hot dogs. So sophisticated, right? But now I can do some real bragging and I owe all my thanks to Gotrovo.

I’ve tried a few different tactics to get my son eating new and different foods. I’ve tried hidden veggie recipes, letting him help prepare his meals, cute food creations and even the eat it or do without method (most of the time he’d choose to go hungry, which broke my heart). After all of these fails, I knew I needed a different tactic and that’s what Gotrovo’s Mealtime Treasure Hunt offers.

Concept & Setup

The whole concept behind the Mealtime Treasure Hunt is that kids get rewarded in a fun way (getting to the treasure) for trying new foods. The set, which includes a washable double-sided treasure map, a plate, bowl, cup, fork and shovel (spoon), navigation coin and reward cards, all have a treasure theme.

The map features things like treasure chests, pirate ships, castles, fairies, mermaids and waterfalls. My son absolutely loves everything pirates and treasure, so I knew for sure this was exactly what he needed.

To get started with the Mealtime Treasure Hunt, you simply set up the place setting. Put the map down (either side), choose the treasure and place the appropriate reward card on top of the treasure chest in the middle of the map. Then set the plate of food on top of that and add the fork and shovel, which is just too cute by the way. It’s a spoon, but looks like a shovel for digging up the treasure. And don’t forget the cup or drink to wash the dirt off any treasures found.

Treasure Hunt Rules

One of the things about the Mealtime Treasure Hunt that I really like, is that you’re in control of the foods offered. You get to choose the rules of the hunt, too.

For my son, I decided that each bite he took would get him one step closer to the treasure. So after every bite he moves the coin to the next spot on the map until he gets all the way around and to the treasure. Ten bites of food and he’s treasure bound!

As a kid who has a limited taste for food, I feel like this is suitable for him, but you can change the rules depending on what you’re trying to get out of your child. I just wanted the boy to take a bite of something he wouldn’t normally eat. Once he starts eating more foods on a regular basis without using the Mealtime Treasure Hunt, I’ll change the rules to continue challenging him.

You’re also in control of the treasure. Just think of anything you know your child would enjoy and pick one as the treasure for that particular meal. And any meal at that – breakfast, lunch or dinner. It’s great for all meals and even dinner’s out. Just take the map and navigation coin along with you.

As for the treasure, there’s even a reward card that lets your child choose his own treasure once he reaches it. But again, it’s all up to you how you set it up and let it play out.

Treasure Ideas:

  • Child’s favorite candy
  • FaceTime with grandparent(s)
  • Hour at the park
  • New toy
  • Money
  • Weekend at grandma’s (this is a win-win for parent and child, haha)
  • Favorite food for lunch tomorrow
  • Stickers
  • New crayons
  • Trip to the library
  • Outing to a matinee movie
  • Skip a chore

In my opinion, the more involved the treasure, the more involved getting to the treasure should be. For example, if the treasure is an outing to a matinee movie, I would make the treasure hunt a little more challenging, meaning the meal is a little more challenging for your child. I might require my son to take more bites of veggies to get to the treasure.

Does it work?

So how did my son do? Let’s just say he’s a challenge himself. The first night was a complete failure. He didn’t even take one bite! But I think I know why. I was so excited to give the Mealtime Treasure Hunt a go, that I went into it a little too strong. I gave him a plate with all foods that he wouldn’t normally eat and I think that was a mistake on my part.

I offered meatloaf, roasted potatoes and cabbage. I knew for sure he wouldn’t eat the cabbage, but I still wanted it on his plate for exposure. I thought for sure he’d at least take a bite of the potatoes because I even put ketchup on them. He eats ketchup on everything! But no. Not. One. Single. Bite.

I realized that I needed to ease him into it and couldn’t expect him to dive right in, even though that would have been great. So the next time we tried the Mealtime Treasure Hunt (must have been wild hair day too, haha) I made it a little easier for him. I gave him chicken, which I knew he’d eat, but only gave him enough bites of it to get him eight steps closer to the treasure.

This left him with two more bites to X marks the spot. And to my surprise he took a bite of rice and then ate a piece of carrot. I almost cried! He never eats rice or carrots, and he ate both bites like it was nothing.

He reached the treasure and claimed his prize of M&M’s (his favorite candy). He was so excited that he got the treasure. I think giving him that initial push of being so close to the treasure helped a lot and knowing it would only take two more bites to reach his destination, it was a breeze for him and a victory for me.

Since then we’ve had some failures, but we’ve also had some victories. In my book, no victory is too small. Just the other day, he took a few bites out of a burrito, which is another food he would have never even looked twice at. I let him help me put it together and it was nothing but a little rice, ground beef and shredded cheese, but this was huge for him!

That particular night I let him take the shortcut to the treasure, which is another cool feature of the Mealtime Treasure Hunt. If your child is struggling, is eating a smaller meal, or as in this case, eating multiple bites of the same thing, the map offers a shortcut that only takes seven bites to get to the treasure.

Now my son asks about his treasure map when it’s time to eat. He knows all of the great treasures that could be in store for him and it makes mealtime fun. When I tell him that he gets to use his treasure map, he always says “Okay, I’m going to eat chicken and rice and carrots.” As I mentioned above, that was the first meal he ate and successfully found the treasure. I just melt when he says he wants to eat rice and carrots. Hopefully soon he’ll start eating them without needing a reward for doing so.

As you probably already know, last week was Dr. Seuss week and the Read Across America event took place on March 2nd, in light of Dr. Seuss’ birthday. Not only did we have fun with Dr. Seuss activities last week and participate in Read Across America, but we also spent the week exploring outer space.

Each day my son did a different activity, all of which were space related. And everything he did led up to a special Friday movie. It’s just like when I was in school and the big box TV was rolled into the classroom. I knew right then my school day was taking a turn for the better. It was the same thing here. With a little help from NCircle Entertainment, he took an adventure through outer space with The Cat in the Hat! The Cat in the Hat knows a lot about all kinds of things, even outer space.

Monday

You can’t really learn about outer space without visiting, and you can’t really visit without becoming an astronaut, so that’s how my son started the week. On Monday he created his very own astronaut and started learning about the different things he might see way out of this world.

I found a large array of outer space printables just from searching on Pinterest, so that’s where all of the outer space activities and ideas for the week came from. His astronaut printable was a color by letter activity and the other coloring printable was a color by sight word. Both of these were perfect for his age!

Tuesday

Now that my son was an official astronaut, he had to figure out how to actually get to outer space. His solution was to build his own rocket ship. On Tuesday, we took to his painting easel so he could create one!

We actually started by painting his foot blue and orange, and then he stepped on his easel paper. The blue part would be the body of his rocket and the orange part, the fire coming out the engines. It was a nice starting point to get his creative juices flowing. After that, I let him do his own thing.

I did tell him his rocket needed some triangular wings (thinking of those at the base of the rocket) and he took it literally, giving his rocket green wings. They look like bird wings to me, but that’s the beauty of a child’s creativity. Besides, it’s his rocket ship and he can do whatever he wants to it.

Wednesday

Wednesday he did a little more research as to what he should expect to see when he gets to outer space. You know, just so he’s prepared once he gets there. With a couple of connect the dots activities, he realized there was a lot to see and explore – stars, planets, passing rocket ships and more!

Thursday

Now we’re getting somewhere. My son is an official astronaut, has is own rocket ship and is ready for exploration. Outer space here he comes! 5-4-3-2-1, BLAST OFF!

Thursday he started with four maze activities – exploring through his rocket ship, the moon, a star and finally, Saturn.

After he finished those, we participated in the Read Across America event by reading his new Cat in the Hat book, There’s No Place Like Space! It couldn’t be more perfect for celebrating Dr. Seuss’ birthday and keeping with our outer space theme for the week.

Friday

Friday arrived and it was finally time to debut his new DVD, The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About Space. Following a robotic dog that came to earth, the Cat in the Hat took him on an out of this world adventure in the Space-ama-racer.

They meet Astronaut Audrey at her space station, at which time she introduces them to Space Rover (the robotic dog) who is helping her explore outer space. Before they know it, Space Rover gets tangled in some space junk while exploring and it’s up to Cat, Nick and Sally to save him. This is just the start of the adventure, as they follow Space Rover from planet to planet, through asteroids and so much more!

After watching the movie, I helped him cut out all of the activities he’d been working on during the week and using push-pin magnets, we placed them all on our dishwasher.

This allowed him to move the pieces around how he wanted and maneuver his astronaut through outer space. Along with the movie, it was a simple, but fun way to end his week exploring and learning about outer space.

Salad Is on Our Springtime Menu

I never realized how much excess water my salads had until I tried the Quick Dry Salad Spinner from Cave Tools. After just one use, it's clear why I'll never make another salad without a few spins in the salad spinner. Head over to the blog to see exactly what I mean. #CaveTools #QuickDrySaladSpinner

The weather is getting warmer and spring gardens are starting to pop up everywhere. What this means for my family is springtime salads! I love chopping up fresh lettuce and veggies, and putting together the perfect salad. From tomatoes, to cucumbers, onions, carrots, hard boiled eggs, bacon pieces, shredded cheese and avocado, a leafy salad is one of my favorites!

Unfortunately, I’ve had my fair share of salads that didn’t quite taste right, but when I experience that off beat taste I know exactly what the problem is. The lettuce wasn’t rinsed before the salad was put together. Personally, I like to chop up a fresh head of lettuce for my salads, but did you know that even if you purchase pre-chopped lettuce or salad mixes that you should still rinse it? You really should!

I never realized how much excess water my salads had until I tried the Quick Dry Salad Spinner from Cave Tools. This brings me to the newest addition to our arsenal of kitchen products, the Quick Dry Salad Spinner from Cave Tools. Until now, I have always rinsed lettuce either before chopping it up or by simply placing it in a colander after it’s chopped and rinsing in the sink, while the water drains through the colander holes.

The problem with this is that many times the salad ends up a bit watery and it’s simply because a lot of the water gets trapped between the lettuce pieces. The Quick Dry Salad Spinner helps to eliminate that watery effect in the simplest way. In fact, it’s so simple that lettuce rinsing has become one of my 5 year old son’s kitchen duties.

Notable Features:

  • Works on fruits, veggies, berries, peppers, pasta, leafy greens and more.
  • Vented lid for easy rinsing.
  • Holds more than 3 quarts of veggies.
  • Dishwasher safe.
  • Lifetime satisfaction guarantee.

While the salad spinner allows you to spin and rinse the lettuce directly from the bowl and pour the excess water out the vented lid, I wanted to show you just how much of a difference the salad spinner makes versus my usual way of rinsing in a colander.

So I had my son use the spinner’s colander to rinse the salad in the sink as I usually would and then give it a few good shakes to get rid of any excess water. At this point I would normally start putting my salad together. Instead we put the Quick Dry Salad Spinner to work.

After a few goods spins, this is the amount of excess water the Quick Dry Salad Spinner was able to extract. This would have normally ended up in my salad! And that’s not even all of it. My son gave the lettuce a second go round in the salad spinner and extracted even more excess water.

5 Reasons to Love the Laiya Deluxe Diaper Bag (+ 50% Off)

5 Reasons to Love the Laiya Deluxe Diaper Bag + 50% Off #diaperbag #baby
~This post contains affiliate links, in which I may receive compensation for your purchase.~

After two kids and about a dozen different diaper bags, I’ve finally found one that’s perfect for me. I’ve had everything from expensive ones with special features and accessories, to free ones that come with a purchase, but none of them I carried for an extended period of time.

I’ve always wondered if the perfect diaper bag exists. Ya know, one that will hold everything the kid’s need, everything I need, is fashionable enough to wear all the time and won’t break the bank. You guys, I found it! That perfect diaper bag is the Laiya Deluxe Diaper Bag. I’ve only had it for a few days, but it was love at first sight and I know it’s one I’ll continue to wear even after my diaper bag days are over.

5 Reasons to Love the Laiya Deluxe Diaper Bag

1. Fashion

I absolutely love the look of this diaper bag. With its durable striped canvas exterior, the bag has a bit of a nautical design, but the black/white/tan colors make it so it can be carried with and will match pretty much any outfit you wear. The closure also adds to its fashionable appearance. There’s an interior magnetic closure and an additional hook/clasp exterior closure, for ensured safekeeping.

5 Reasons to Love the Laiya Deluxe Diaper Bag + 50% Off #diaperbag #baby

I mean, it really doesn’t even look like a diaper bag and no one will even know that’s what it is. There’s nothing wrong with ditching the baby-like designs that desperately scream diaper bag and carrying one that looks like a purse!

2. Size

The Laiya Deluxe Diaper Bag is a medium size. I compare it to my purses, of which I like to carry at least a medium sized purse and sometimes go larger. So the medium size of this diaper bag makes it just right for me, as if I’m simply carrying a purse. Large, bulky diaper bags are like carrying another baby and baby alone is enough, so Laiya wins hands down when it comes to size.

3. Functionality

Just as you’d expect from any diaper bag, this one features lots of pockets and lots of room for anything and everything baby could need while out and about. I’m at a stage where my infant has transitioned to a toddler, so there are some things I no longer need to carry, but we still take a lot of stuff when we leave the house. If nothing else, our main essentials are diapers, wipes, snacks and a sippy cup. And the Laiya Deluxe Diaper has pockets to keep it all organized.

5 Reasons to Love the Laiya Deluxe Diaper Bag + 50% Off #diaperbag #baby

  • Two outer pockets.
  • Six interior pockets.
  • One zippered interior pocket.
  • Includes matching striped changing pad.

Any pockets that aren’t in use for her necessities, hold mine – my wallet, keys, sunglasses, cell phone, lipstick, etc.

4. Versatility

One of the nice features of the Laiya Deluxe Diaper Bag is the different ways it can be carried. I personally like to carry mine as a crossbody bag, but the longer strap can be removed and the bag can be worn on your arm like a handbag or even over one shoulder.

5 Reasons to Love the Laiya Deluxe Diaper Bag + 50% Off #diaperbag #baby

And it doesn’t stop there! The bag features two stroller loops on the top of each side so you can easily slip it over the handles of an umbrella stroller. How convenient is that?!

5. Price

With all of the great qualities of this diaper bag, you’d expect it to be somewhat expensive, but it’s really not. Retailing for just $44.95 makes it very affordable, especially in the realm of diaper bags. But I can make the price even sweeter!

I have an exclusive promo code specially for Making Time readers, giving you a whopping 50% off! Yes, this is real! Just use promo code MAKETIME at checkout. The promo code (valid through 2/10) can also be used more than once, so if you get your own and love it as much as I love mine, you can go back and order another for a friend. Talk about a great baby shower gift!

I also want to add that a portion of each purchase goes to supporting families who are seeking to adopt. What an amazing cause to contribute to!

There’s no better season for family photos and using those photos to make your own holiday cards. Getting a decent family photo? Eh, we might be able to swing that. Designing your own holiday card? Well, that’s easy peasy with Paperless Post!

Each and every holiday season, I plan our family photo so that I can design my own holiday cards. Getting a family photo is a hassle around here, considering my other half would do anything to get out of taking a picture. But after pulling the “it’s important to me” card and eventually putting my foot down, demanding he get with the program, I get the family photo I long for. Most of the time.

Let’s face it, getting everyone to look at the camera and smile is a tedious effort at best. We typically have no less than 20 takes of the same location and pose, and even sometimes that isn’t enough to get the perfect family photo. Nonetheless, I do what I can to make it a great one, so that we look like we belong on the holiday card.

How do I do that? I make our outfits my main priority.

Let’s start with mom because we all know mom holds the family together, right? eShakti is a great place to get a special look for mom. With sizes ranging from 0 to 36 and the ability to customize everything about a piece, mom will certainly be a highlight of the family photo.

The kids? My go-to is definitely Gymboree. With cute and affordable clothes that fit both my daughter and my son, it’s a one-stop shop to get their holiday styles handled.

And last, but certainly not least, dad. I say let Trendy Butler do the work. Just have dad fill out a style questionnaire, choose his preferences and measurements, and let Trendy Butler create the look and send it right to your door. It takes some of the hassle off of me, knowing dad’s outfit is taken care of with no effort.

‘Tis the season for family photos, fa la la la la, la la la la.

Join the family and smile pretty, fa la la la la, la la la la.

Don we now our gay apparel, fa la la, la la la, la la la.

Don’t blink when the camera flashes, fa la la la la, la la la la.

Hope you got the perfect take, fa la la la la, la la la la.

Now design and email holiday cards, fa la la la la, la la la la.

Once I’ve the perfect family photo, or something close to it, it’s time for the easy part – making my own holiday cards. From choosing the perfect card, to customization and even sending it out to family and friends, making my own holiday cards has never been easier than it is with Paperless Post.

There are so many different holiday card designs to choose, many of which are straight from high end fashion designers like Kate Spade New York and Oscar De La Renta. After picking which card suits your taste the best, it’s just a matter of adding the family photo and tailoring the details.

What I like about Paperless Post is that there are multiple customization options for one single card. You and a friend could literally choose the same card and end up with totally different finished looks!

Here’s the card I chose to work with, in its original form.

And this is how my holiday card turned out after making my own customizations.

But that’s not even all of the customization! I was able to pick and choose details for the envelope too, right down to which stamp I wanted.

Paperless Post Customization Options:

  • Add a family photo.
  • Change the colors/design of the card itself.
  • Change typeface – actual font, font size, font color, wording.
  • Add a background (wooden background shown).
  • Choose from multiple envelope color/finish options.
  • Change the envelope’s interior liner print.
  • Select the stamp and postmark to be shown on the outside of the envelope.
  • Choose font shown on envelope for letter addressee.

I absolutely love how my finished family holiday card turned out, from the card itself, to the envelope and delivery. And I got to choose every single detail! Not to mention, I’ve gotten some great feedback from our family and friends about the card.

Delivery was super easy. They were all sent electronically via email! No wait time for printing and delivery to my home, and then the process of mailing them out myself. Talk about a time saver! On top of that, I don’t have extra holiday cards sitting around. I can send and pay for only as many as I need to, without ordering a minimum or certain amount.

All I had to do was input my name and subject (I chose Merrry Christmas as the subject) and then added my recipients’ names and email addresses. My holiday cards were delivered right then and there! When the recipient opens the email, they’ll see an animation of the envelope opening and out pops our holiday card. It’s so fun!

On my Paperless Post dashboard, I can even see who has opened their holiday cards and who hasn’t. And if I realize I forgot someone (which I definitely did), I can just go in and add more recipients and again, the holiday card is delivered right then.

So even if you wait until the very last minute to make your own holiday cards, they’ll still get delivered on time with the help of Paperless Post!

One of my favorite things about the holidays are all of the Christmas themed movies. From the old school animated cartoons, to modern movies and even episodes of TV shows. I love them all! In fact, I’m no stranger to watching Home Alone during the summer.

This year, NCircle Entertainment is helping us expand our holiday movie collection by adding a few children’s favorites, including a handful of holiday adventures with The Cat in the Hat. How classic is that?

We can’t go on any holiday adventures with The Cat in the Hat if we don’t have The Thinga-Ma-Jigger!

8 Tips for Managing a Sick Kid

When the kids get sick, don't run for the hills. Use these 8 tips that help me manage and care for my kids when they get sick. #DrMom #DrDad #sickkid
~This post contains affiliate links in which I may receive compensation for your purchase.~

If there’s one thing that comes along with cooler weather that doesn’t put me in the holiday spirit, it’s a runny nose and sniffles. More so when it’s the kids that have them and right now both of my kids are sick. The past two days I’ve been in full on Dr. Mom mode and have been making time to send all these sick germs packing. Hopefully they kick the bucket soon (the germs, not my kids).

Here are eight tips that I use for managing a sick kid. I’m certainly no medical professional, but I’ve found these tips to work well for me when one or more of my kids get the common cold.

Medicine

Giving your child medicine probably seems like a no brainer, but not all medicines actually heal the sickness. Rather, they help to make cold symptoms easier to withstand, while the cold runs its course. Pay attention to what symptoms manifest themselves (fever, runny nose, cough, sore throat, etc.) and choose a medicine that corresponds with those symptoms. Most kids don’t like taking medicine, including mine, so don’t make it worse for them by forcing a medicine that really isn’t going to help.

Are you a breastfeeding mom? When your child’s sick, continue to breastfeed because your body will help produce the antibodies needed to get over the cold. There’s nothing like homemade organic mommy medicine!

When the kids get sick, don't run for the hills. Use these 8 tips that help me manage and care for my kids when they get sick. #DrMom #DrDad #sickkid

Rest

Just like when we get sick, kids need a lot of rest. Let them sleep whenever they want – morning, afternoon, evening, night. Besides, I’m sure you could use a nice break from all the ruckus they make on a daily basis. When sick, I let my kids sleep in and I don’t limit their rest at all. You want to sleep in the chair? Go right ahead and sleep in the chair.

Hydrate

Staying hydrated is typically hard for anyone who’s sick. I know all I want to do is sleep and that leaves no time for food or hydration. Still, I try my best to keep my kids hydrated when they’re under the weather. If I can’t get them to drink water or juice, I give them Pediasure and they’ll usually take a few sips here and there. I’ll take a few sips over none at all.

Warm Bath

There’s nothing like taking a nice warm bath and washing away all those icky sick germs. When your child has a runny nose, chances are they’ve wiped their hand across their nose and then spread all the ickiness across their face, hair, hands, arms and clothes. Yuck!

Run a nice warm bath, clean them up and put them in some clean jammies. It may only be a little while before the germs are all over again, but a bath still helps kids feel better and gives you peace of mind that the sick germs have at least been washed away for the moment. Plus, the warm water will help clear up some congestion.

Clean Air

Keeping the germs at bay and giving your kids good, clean air to breathe is very important. How do I do this? With my Ozazzy “I Am Air” Cool Mist Humidifier. This thing has been running nonstop the past two days and is definitely helping. It releases cool, moist air, so if either of my kids happen to play in the mist (which they have been doing relentlessly) it isn’t going to burn their hands. I’ve had my Ozazzy at its highest setting so it’s pumping out a lot of great moisture to help clear up these little runny noses.

I also like to add some essential oils like eucalyptus and tree tea oil to the humidifier’s water. Just like using Vick’s in a vaporizer, the eucalyptus oil helps clear up my kids’ congestion and the tea tree oil helps disinfect the air. It’s nothing but easy breathing around here!

And if all else fails, get out of the house. This is a little harder considering most of the time you’re cooped up in the house when someone is sick, but getting some fresh air outdoors works wonders. Even opening the window will help.

Sanitize

Sanitizing kind of goes along with clean air. I use Lysol spray to sanitize my home and rid it of germs whenever anyone gets sick. Each night I spray around the house after the kids have gone to bed and I’ll admit, there have definitely been a few times I’ve had to open a window or two because I went a little Lysol crazy. But hey, the germs have got to go!

When the kids get sick, don't run for the hills. Use these 8 tips that help me manage and care for my kids when they get sick. #DrMom #DrDad #sickkid

Love

I can’t stress this one enough. No one likes to be sick and even though as adults we typically just want to be left alone, kids need all the love they can get. They don’t understand what’s going on with their body and some things may seem scary, especially if they’re vomiting. So just hold and cuddle your kids. It won’t last forever, so you might as well get it in while you can anyways. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever cuddled and loved on my kids as much as I have these past two days. Cuddles are comforting to them and you’ll enjoy it too.

Clean Sweep

When all is said and done, and the sniffles and runny noses are gone, it’s time for a clean sweep. Wash any and all blankets/bedding that were used while the kids were sick, and do a bleach/water soak of any plastic toys they played with. I also do a final sweep of the home with the Lysol spray, just to make sure I’m covering all my bases. Sick germs be gone!

How do you manage a sick kid?

~Please note that I am not a medical professional and these are simply tips I use when my kids get sick. If you have an emergency or feel like your child needs to see a doctor, by all means, please take them. If after a few days my tactics aren’t working and my children’s colds seem to be getting worse, we visit the pediatrician or a pediatric urgent care/after hours clinic.~

Singing Our Way to the Top with a Family Holiday Tradition

We're getting ready for this year's family movie night holiday tradition by belting out some high notes into our Holiday Honeycomb Micro"cones." Why? Because this year's family movie night feature is the December 21st release of SING©! #PostfortheHolidays #SINGMovieSweeps #PostSave$4 #ad

The holiday season is among us and flying by, might I add. We’re accomplishing and marking off one family holiday tradition right after another. But one that doesn’t take place until Christmas Eve, is our tradition of family movie night.

Every Christmas Eve, right before the kids go to bed and Santa gets to do his thing, we gather in front of the TV as a family and choose a movie to watch. This year, we’re taking that tradition to the next level and instead of watching a movie at home, we’re heading to the theaters.

Why the change, you ask? Because we are just way too excited to see the new movie, SING© which hits theaters on December 21st. Since it’s a new release, we won’t be able to watch it at home so movie theaters, here we come!

We’re a family who loves singing and dancing, and music in general. That’s what makes the SING© movie the perfect choice for this particular family holiday tradition of ours.

To prepare ourselves for the movie, we’re enjoying some family fun time beforehand by belting out some high notes into our Holiday Honeycomb® Micro”cones.” You see, the SING© movie is about 5 animals with different backgrounds and in different stages of their lives, entering a singing competition. And every singer needs a microphone, right? Well, in our case, a micro”cone.”

Before we could make our Holiday Honeycomb® Micro”cones,” we had to go to Target to get everything we’d need, including the key ingredient, Honeycombs®. My son spotted the bright yellow box almost immediately, as it was easily accessible to him on the bottom shelf and surrounded by other Post Cereal brands.

As soon as we got home, we got to work!
